ABOUT

Ember is a multi-talented Canadian musician hailing from Hudson, Quebec. She began her musical journey on the violin at the age of 4, demonstrating a natural aptitude that quickly propelled her into the musical scene. Alongside her violin studies, she ventured into the world of singing, developing a unique and sonorous style over the years that inspired her to create her own music and experiment with musical arrangement and composition. With a deep appreciation for and engagement across a wide musical spectrum, Ember has cultivated a sensitive and creative approach as a violinist, singer, songwriter, and composer.

Ember completed her master’s degree in Violin Performance at the University of Ottawa, where she also pursued a Microprogram in Composing for the Media, focusing on 19th and 20th-century female composers. She is currently at the University of Montreal, working towards her Doctor of Arts degree in Violin Performance. Ember remains dedicated to increasing the visibility of female composers in the standard repertoire while continuing her passions for composition and performance.
